CLARINET
Bristol Concert Orchestra is inviting applications for the role of co-principal clarinet.

About the role: Bristol Concert Orchestra has a rotation policy for wind players, so for the three main concerts per year (December, March, June), co-principal clarinets will most likely play both 1st and 2nd clarinet within each concert. There are also other opportunities to play, such as our annual concert for children, chamber orchestra (BCO Sinfonietta), as well as various other opportunities from time to time.
As usual for an amateur orchestra, a modest termly member subscription is payable. We rehearse on Monday evenings, and a high rate of attendance is required.

About you: Applicants should be of at least grade 8 standard and have good experience of orchestral playing. The ability to play Eb and/or Bass clarinet may be beneficial, but is not a requirement.

The application process: In the first instance, please send details of:

  • your playing standard/qualifications
  • your orchestral experience
  • instruments played/owned
  • your contact information

to mail@bristolconcertorchestra.org.uk

We envisage making initial selections this summer, with orchestral rehearsal trials this autumn and the successful applicant taking their seat in January 2020.
